Abacos! Feels Almost Like Home

April 13 - 15, 2016

           Leaving Spanish Harbour

50 mile crossing from Spanish Wells to Little Harbour
Friendly turtle in the harbour at Pete's Pub.

Beautiful bronze sculptures by Pete Johnston.

Atlantic side of Little Harbour.

Dolphin caught during crossing from Spanish Wells. Once caught, Randy had to clean this fish in 4' to 5' rolling swells. Not a fun task! But the blackened mahi was delicious.

We were happy to see the familiar Pete's Pub at Little Harbour - our first stop in the Abacos. It was sort of a rough ride across from Spanish Wells but we decided to fish and caught a nice dolphin. After getting it in the boat without a gaff and cleaning it on top of the cooler in the rolling seas, Randy said one was enough and put the rod away!
We've seen many new and beautiful places but it was nice to see the familiar Little Harbour and Pete's Pub where we've been before.
